“PRINT FOR ALL”
The main thrust of UPMG-Philippines is to promote print as an effective and powerful medium of communication. UPMG-Philippines, during the next two years aims to increase awareness and appreciation of its role in society and nation building. Its target is a broad spectrum of sectors, interests and age group believing that its relevance and usefulness transcends demographic categories. It is primarily geared towards tapping the younger generation, the millennials and encourage them to get back to the basic habit of reading and keeping themselves well informed. Part of these efforts are guided by the group’s resolution not only to keep print alive but to keep it evolving as warranted by the current times. For one, UPMG Philippines encourages its members to embrace rather than oppose digital media as a friend rather than an foe, an opportunity rather than a threat. The effort and the vision also extends to those who are already patrons of print so as to assure them of the continuous pursuit of excellence in print in terms of quality, credibility and integrity. It establishes that print media is truly at the service of everyone. Thus, the association’s them for this term – PRINT FOR ALL!
